Proud of Our Students!

Mrs Michelle McDonnell - Principal
We have come to the end of another wonderful term of learning and activities at St Peter's.  We are so proud of what our students have accomplished this term, whether in the classroom, on the sporting field, on the stage or in building relationships with one another.
I trust you were able to celebrate achievements and effort with your child after reading their Report for Semester 1.

I visited our Pre-Kindergarten classes during their Portfolio afternoons and it was lovely to see their pride in sharing their learning with parents and carers.

I pray that all families have a safe and enjoyable holiday break and look forward to our students returning to school on Monday, 24 July.

New Peripatetic Tutor

St Peter's is pleased to welcome Miss Samira Dib to join our peripatetic team. Samira offers tuition in both cello and piano. If you would be interested in your child receiving lessons from Samira, please contact her directly on 0418 248 239.

Families are reminded that tutorials during school hours occur on a rotating basis to ensure students do not consistently miss the same classroom learning experience each week. Tuition will also not occur during Chapel times.

I’m extremely proud of all our groups and can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for us!

Student of the Month - May

Mikayla is a tenderhearted student, kind and caring in all her interactions. She is polite and well mannered at all times, demonstrating her high respect for others - who are just as valuable to God as she is. Mikayla’s bright eyes and bubbly smile is a comfort to her friends and often brings peace and calm to stressful situations. Her sense of humour is contagious and causes all those around her to be laughing and filled with joy instantly.

Mikayla always strives to do her very best and perseveres when challenges arise. She is not afraid to ask for help or stand up for what is right. Wherever you find her; be it in the classroom, out at sport, assisting in the Heart playground, or warming up her vocals with the ensemble, Mikayla is sure to be exuding the spirit of St Peter’s. She is a worthy role model, an asset to our school and the community. It is with pride that we name Mikayla as the honourable Student of the Month.

Congratulations to Mikayla!

St Peter's Church - Celebrating 200 Years!

End of Another Term!

As we end of another blessed term at St Peter's, we are filled with gratitude for the many ways God has blessed our school family. Throughout these past few months, students and staff have worked hand in hand to achieve great things, like our Musical - The Lion King Jr. Our dedicated staff have been tireless in their commitment to not only academic excellence but also the spiritual growth of our precious students. Through daily prayers, devotions, and curriculum, we have nurtured their hearts, minds, and souls.

We appreciate our supportive parents and guardians for entrusting us with the privilege of shaping their children's lives. As we reflect on the journey thus far, we wait with anticipation for what lies ahead. May God continue to guide us to raise up a generation of compassionate, knowledgeable, and faithful youth. We encourage you to take this break as an opportunity to rest, reflect, and draw closer to God and your loved ones.

I commend the 200th Anniversary of St Peter's events on Saturday, 1 July for your consideration. Please see details at the end of this Newsletter.

I look forward to seeing you at the Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences on Thursday, 20 July 2023.
