As we draw closer to the conclusion of another year, the time has come to commence the process of electing the 2021 St. Peter’s Student Leadership Team. 

In the near future, Year 5 students will be given the opportunity to express their willingness to serve in leadership roles such as Prefect or House Captain in 2021. A nomination and voting process will occur over the coming weeks to determine a fair and democratic outcome. 

We acknowledge that a process such as this can evoke a range of emotions in students such as excitement and hope, along with nervousness and concern. We encourage families to engage in open conversations with their child to assist in regulating their emotions and expectations at this time. 

Unfortunately, there will inevitably be some level of disappointment among those unsuccessful on this particular occasion. Regardless of the outcome, our expectation is that all St. Peter’s Year 6 students are afforded opportunities to develop leadership skills and view themselves as positive role models within our school.

Every Year 6 student will undertake the important roles of leading a Buddy Group and mentoring a Kindergarten student throughout the year.
