Mrs Michelle McDonnell - Principal

As announced by the Prime Minister of Australia, next Thursday, 22 September 2022 has been declared a national day of mourning and a Public Holiday. As such St Peter's Anglican Grammar & St Peter's Heart, inclusive of our OSHC Service and Office will be closed.

Thank you for your understanding.

Junior Primary Athletics Carnival

A reminder that the Junior Primary Athletics Carnival will be held on Friday, 23 September 2022.
Students may order a sausage on a roll for $3.00 by returning the order form sent home last week along with their money. Sausages will also be available on the day for parents to enjoy a picnic with their children.
This day will be a fantastic way for Junior Primary to end Term 3. We are still looking for parent helpers to assist on this day, so if you are able to help out please fill in the bottom part on the information note.

We are looking forward to seeing you on the day.

Uniform Matters

We will offer a uniform changeover period over the first 2 weeks of Term 4 allowing families the choice of wearing either the Winter or Summer uniform depending on the weather. We are expecting stock of the new Summer uniform items in early Term 4 and will communicate when these are available for purchase.

The School Shop will be available for bookings during the second week of the School Holidays on Wednesday, 5 and Thursday, 6 October for families seeking any remaining current Summer uniform items.

If you would like to purchase any items from our existing uniform the School Shop will be open next week:

Monday: 8.30am - 3.45pm
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 8.30am - 12.00pm

Please call the Office to make an appointment with our School shop: 4627 2990 or email Mrs Mizzi at: shop@stpeters.nsw.edu.au

You are able to download a copy of the IHS from the MyGov website, please see the following link: https://www.humanservices.gov.au/individuals/online-help/medicare/getting-your-immunisation-history-statement-using-your-medicare-online-account#a3

It would be appreciated if you could email a copy of this statement to: nurse@stpeters.nsw.edu.au as soon as possible.

If immunisation for your child has not been completed, please advise via email.

Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the School Office on 4627 2990.

Give Life. Give Blood in Campbelltown

One in three people in Campbelltown will need blood during their lives — and without the amazing support of our community, that blood may not be there at the crucial moment.

Despite the ongoing pandemic, it is important to remember blood and plasma donation remains absolutely vital.

If you’re a donor, or would like to donate, please book in beforehand online or on 13 14 95. Remember, get in early to get the best time!

Help give life and hope to people in our community.

Lion King Jnr - Rehearsal Schedule Term 3 & 4 2022

Mrs Nerida Hadfield - Deputy Principal

We were very excited to have started our rehearsals for Lion King Jnr on Thursday in the Music Rooms.

Please find attached the rehearsal schedule for the remainder of this year.

A reminder that students will need to be collected at 4.30pm on rehearsal day and refer to the agreement letter regarding what students need to bring.

Swimming Carnival

Please note that the St Peter's Swimming Carnival will occur on Monday, 21 November 2022 (Term 4, Week 7) at the Gordon Fetterplace Aquatic Centre, Bradbury. Students currently in Years 2 to 7 will be in attendance, along with any current Year 1 students who turn 8 in 2023 and can competitively swim 50m freestyle. This event will allow students to qualify to represent St Peter's at the IPSHA Swimming Carnival in early 2023. The change of date will be a good trial which will reduce the busyness of Term 1, alongside an enjoyable day at the end of the year. Parents will be able to attend to cheer on their child on the day. More details will be shared closer to the carnival date. In the meantime, keep practising your swimming!

Year 4 Excursion

Mr Troy Calnan - Coordinator of Students (Years 3 - 6)

Last week Year 4 swapped the standard classroom for an outdoor learning space. We travelled the short bus ride to Wedderburn Christian Campsite where Ranger Jamie Tours provided some fantastic learning experiences. This was our provocation lesson that introduced our new Unit of Inquiry under the transdisciplinary theme, 'How The World Works'.

Ranger Jamie and 'Ranger Bubbles' introduced us to forces through a variety of scientific experiments and demonstrations. We had a great day of hands-on learning where we not only observed, but had the opportunity to conduct some experiments ourselves.

We made various types of rockets, made the perfect slime, raced billy-karts and even watched Ranger Jamie explode a few things.

It was a fantastic start to our learning in this area. We look forward to seeing how Year 4 applies this learning in the coming weeks.

IPSSO Winter Representative Sport – Note

The IPSSO Winter Representative Sport season concluded with a final round of matches at home versus Oran Park on Wednesday, 14 September. Results from these fixtures will be published in the first newsletter for Term 4, along with any St Peter’s teams that placed in the top 3 schools in their competition.

Well done to all team members for their fine efforts in representing our school.

Paralympian Paul Nunnari Visit

St Peter's was blessed to receive a visit from local Paralympian and wheelchair athlete Paul Nunnari today. Each year Paul undertakes an annual trek across the Macarthur region visiting schools and businesses to raise awareness of disability issues and promote the 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer Macarthur Fundraiser. Grammar and Heart students in Years 3-7 had the privilege to hear from Paul as he arrived at St Peter's under police escort along his route. A donation of $600 was made to the 24 Fight Against Cancer Fundraiser on behalf of the St Peter's community.

School Holidays

Please be reminded that School Holidays commence at the end of next week. Wishing your family a blessed school holiday period. I trust you are afforded an opportunity to get outside and enjoy some Spring weather with the family. Please stay safe and I look forward to welcoming you back in Term 4 on Monday, 10 October 2022.
