Musical Week

Mrs Michelle McDonnell - Principal
We are all so excited for Musical Week next week, when we are able to witness the talents of our students at the performances of Lion King Jr.
It is such a blessing to be part of a school where staff give their time and talents to allow our students to shine.  It is also amazing that all students across Kindergarten - Year 6 along with St Peter's Heart can perform as part of this occasion.  Many of our cast reflect on the time when they as Kindergarten students watched the "big kids" perform on the stage and couldn't wait for their turn.  Well that time has come and we can't wait to see them!
If you are yet to purchase tickets for a performance, I encourage you to do so.

Changes to Weekly Events

Due to our Musical in Week 9 and therefore our Hall being unavailable for regular use, the following events will not take place for Week 9 only:
Monday - Primary Assembly
Tuesday - Years 3 - 6 Chapel
Friday - Kindergarten - Year 2 Chapel

Pete's Cafe

We are excited to have Pete's Cafe available for purchases 45 minutes prior to each of our Lion King Jr performances next week.  Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and water along with chocolates, chips and popcorn will be available for purchase.

Due to the coffee cart being set up for our musical performances, it will not be open as usual next Friday, 23 June before school.

We thank you for your understanding.

School Photo Days

There will be three photo days held next term as outlined below.

An email will be sent next week regarding uniform requirements for our Photo Days.  We appreciate families reading this carefully, to ensure that their children have the appropriate uniform items required for this occasion.

Draw Changes

Please note, the draw for Term 3 has been changed. Students will be provided with a printed copy at the beginning of Term 3.

We now have a game in Week 2, against Oran Park. Week 6 is now a bye due to the IPSHA Athletics Carnival.

IPSHA Athletics

Details for the IPSHA Athletics Carnival have been sent to selected students. Please check your email or spam folder if you did not receive it and you know your child has progressed.

Please note there is a capped number of entries and qualifying standards (times and distances) for students to progress to the IPSHA Athletics Carnival. Placing at our School Carnival does not guarantee progression, as these standards need to be met and student times/distances are forwarded for the purposes of organising heats appropriately.

2023 IPSHA Athletics Number of Entries and Qualifying Standards allow schools to progress 1st place athletes only, with the exception of 100m Track and where a 2nd place athlete must have attained the qualifying standard.

Each school may only enter one athlete per Field Event per age group where the student was able to jump or throw better than the qualifying standards given by IPSHA.
